The wild pokemon had spotted her in their territory when she was exploring with Nebby the Nebula pokemon. They didn't hesitate to back her into a corner with Nebby safely in her bag. The odds were not in the pair's favor and all Lillie could do was hope for some kind of miracle. It came... sort of. When the pair arrived at Tomodachi Island, they were both lost and confused. Lillie even wondered if Nebby had something to do with this. She has read many books about Pokemon history, the different regions, and other non related things. Despite her fondness of all things pokemon, she dislikes pokemon battling and fighting of any kind. The resemblance was uncanny and you thought you'd grow up to be exactly like her. You loved your mother dearly and the bond you two had was unbreakable when you were a few years younger. You loved the way she dressed you up in the cutest outfits, the way she brushed your hair tenderly and told you about her day at work or stories of Ultra Beasts, you loved the way she'd let you sleep in her bed in the wee hours of the night and stroke your hair until you fell asleep peacefully. She was the most important person in your life. She was perfect.[break][break] You don't remember the details of when your mother changed but you do remember how she did. Your mother started obsessing over the very pokemon she told you stories about, put you in clothes that resembled one of the Ultra Beasts, and seen you as merely a doll to dress up. She spent countless hours at the Aether Foundation and wouldn't come home until a few days later. When your mother did come home, she didn't talk to you or your brother. She'd mumble incoherent things and run off to her office. You were scared.[break][break] Where was the mother you loved? Why were you too afraid to reach out to her and stop it? This thing in your mother's body was a monster and all you could do was watch as she became more and more obsessed with her research. Your brother left long ago so now it was your turn to leave this stranger behind.[break][break] Meeting a friendIt was supposed to be a simple rescue and retreat operation but things went a little wrong. When you went to Aether Paradise to save a captive pokemon, you weren't expecting to find Cosmog. The one your mother told you about when she was... normal. The first thing that came to mind as you stared at the cage was nebula. The pokemon's gaseous body, it's wisp-like extensions, and it's yellow eyes and blue cheeks said as much. You felt angry at the people who locked this pokemon away to experiment and research on. It was cruel. You weren't going to stand by and do nothing like before.[break][break] You wasted no more time to break Cosmog out of it's prison and cradle it in your arms protectively. Despite the horrible things it's been through, the Pokemon cried happily and snuggled up in your arms. You couldn't believe it. This pokemon trusted you.[break][break] You wanted to reassure it that it'll be okay but an alarm went off. There was no time to chit chat. You had to get out of here before the both of you got caught. You ran and ran for what seemed like hours until the men finally caught up to you. There was no where for you to go and all you could do was apologize to Cosmog for failing.[break][break] What happened next still surprises you to this very day when you look back at how the two of you met. When it all seemed to be coming to an end, Cosmog teleported the both of you out of paradise. You were confused and wondered how you got out of there. Looking down at your arms, the answer was pretty clear. Cosmog the Nebula pokemon had saved you and you couldn't have been more grateful.
